TIPS FOR A GREAT VISIT FROM SANTA

A visit from Santa can be a wonderful and heartwarming experience for your family, friends, or staff! Here are a few tips to help make the event as magical and memorable as possible.

Before your Event

  • Please provide a contact person and their cell number so Santa can reach out if needed.

  • Take a few minutes to chat with Santa before the big day to go over details and special touches that will make your visit unforgettable.

  • Fill out the short questionnaire (www.newsantaclaus.com/nicelist)— it helps Santa learn about each child so he can make their moment extra special!

Time of Event

  • Reserve a convenient parking space near the entrance, tucked away from curious eyes who might spot Santa’s arrival.

  • Have a helper meet Santa outside to share any last-minute instructions and assist with gifts.

  • Plan for Santa’s Grand Entrance — a little fanfare makes the moment even more magical!

  • Set up Santa’s chair in front of a festive holiday background for the best photos. (Avoid placing Santa too close to the fireplace — he's old enough to have hot flashes!)

  • Santa appreciates a little help remembering details — after all, he’s been doing this a long time!

  • Address each child by name.

  • Ask about their Elf on the Shelf, favorite teacher, or activities they enjoy — it all adds to the magic.

  • For everyone’s comfort, younger children should be lifted onto Santa’s lap by an adult, while older children may sit on their own. Please encourage even your “non-believers” to join in the fun — there’s always room for Christmas spirit!

  • Have your cameras ready:

    • Make sure batteries are charged.

    • Check that lighting is bright and cheerful.

    • Santa loves pets, too! Just let him know ahead of time if you’d like your furry friends in photos. Please provide a simple lap blanket to help keep his suit fur-free for the next family he visits.

  • If payment is being made in cash, please place it in an envelope labeled “My Christmas Wish List” and hand it to Santa discreetly by the helper as he arrives.

  • Help Santa stay on schedule by keeping children together and ready for photos. When it’s time for Santa to depart, a cheerful send-off helps make his goodbye smooth and sweet.

After the event

  • Santa would love to see your photos and hear about your experience! Please consider writing a short review or testimonial, and share your favorite pictures — they might even be featured on Santa’s website to inspire others.

Important Reminders!

  • Santa believes every child is good and full of potential — he doesn’t use the “Naughty List,” even as a joke.

  • Santa won’t snack during visits (white gloves are tricky to keep clean!), but a bottle of water is always appreciated.
